Gestion de Infraestructuras de Andalucia S.A. (GIASA) is a private company primarily engaged in architectural and engineering activities, and other related technical consultancy. The company was incorporated in September 1992. The company has a registered office located in Sevilla, Spain. GIASA is engaged in the maintenance and construction of infrastructure. The company's scope of activity is the management of projects, and railway and highway network works within the territory of the independent Community of Andalusia. It includes planning until the phase of informative studies; the control, the operation, and the maintenance of railway and highway networks which corresponds to the different directive, or central centers or provincial delegations. In addition, GIASA contracts the services of the consulting companies for the writing of projects, the accomplishment of geologic and geo-technical studies, the work direction and the control of quality. It also contracts the execution of the work to the construction companies in the different branches. The company's subsidiaries include Metro de Malaga SA, which is engaged in the general construction of buildings and civil engineering works; and Metro de Sevilla Sociedad Cocesionara de la Junta de Andalucia SA, which is active in the construction and maintenance of an underground and rail network in Seville.
